How this works
Settings are saved locally by default — your observing location lives in your browser's localStorage and is used at runtime to compute when celestial objects are visible from where you are.
If you sign in, settings sync across devices through a tiny server-side record tied to your account. See privacy for what that means. Anonymous browsing still works exactly as it did before — no server contact.
Geolocation requests use your browser's built-in API — Deep Sky Creations never sees the prompt result, only the coordinates you choose to save.
