What Kernel Command Is

Your strategy does not just live in your head. You build it, you debug it, you deploy it.

Kernel Command is a real-time strategy game where your greatest weapon is not a hero unit, a superweapon or a bigger army. It is your code.

Build bases. Harvest resources. Expand territory. Produce armies. Scout through the fog of war. Defend critical infrastructure. Break enemy strongholds. Start traditionally, with direct control — issuing orders and managing your forces by hand.

Then go deeper.

Design Strategies That Run Without You

Design autonomous strategies visually with a node-based programming system, or take full control with Python and write sophisticated battlefield logic of your own. Workers can manage economies without supervision. Armies can patrol, reinforce, scout, regroup, recover from losses and launch coordinated assaults according to rules you wrote.

Both systems ultimately command the same simulation. There is no fake tutorial language and no separate coding minigame — the systems you learn are the systems you take into battle.

The Core

Your greatest creation is your Core: the programmable brain behind your faction. Create a strategy, refine it, publish an immutable version, deploy it into real scenarios and watch it perform independently.

A Core can represent your whole approach — economic growth, worker distribution, expansion, scouting, military production, defensive response, army composition, target prioritisation, recovery, and full autonomous warfare.

As Kernel Command grows, Cores are the foundation for programmable warfare where the quality of your strategy, architecture and code can matter as much as your speed with a mouse.

Programming does not replace the strategy game. Kernel Command is being built as a full RTS, and players can command their forces manually, automate individual systems, or work toward something far more ambitious: an army capable of running itself.

The campaign puts those systems into real combat — establishing frontier bases, surviving coordinated assaults, scouting hostile territory, breaking fortified positions. Every mission is a chance to improve not just your army, but the intelligence controlling it.

The code is not outside the game. The code is the game.
