Ultimate Emulator
All your systems. One place.
Ultimate Emulator brings nine classic systems — from the Atari 2600 to the Game Boy Advance — into one polished Windows application, with more in development.
Public release in preparation
Version ·
Included systems: Atari 2600, Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, Genesis / Mega Drive, Super Nintendo, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance.
Why Ultimate Emulator
One application. Not a folder of them.
One install
Nine systems in one application, each started by the right engine automatically. Nothing to download per console, nothing to configure first.
One library
Your whole collection, organised by system, searchable, with collections, favourites and the game you were last playing one click away.
One experience
The same controls, saves, visuals and online play — learned once, working the same way on every system that supports them.
Systems
Nine systems today. Four more in development.
Every status describes the current build, and changes as each system passes its own acceptance testing. Supported means included and accepted; Beta means included and playable with work still under way.

Unified library
Everything you own, in one place.
-
One library
AvailableEvery game you own, across every included system, in one searchable library with collections, favourites and history.
Point Ultimate Emulator at your folders and it builds the library for you: search, filter, edit details, add artwork, organise collections and pick up where you left off. It works entirely offline.
-
Many systems, one app
AvailableNine systems are included and chosen automatically. No separate emulator to install, configure or keep up to date per console.
-
Firmware & BIOS center
AvailableSystems that need your own console firmware tell you exactly what they need, and identify the file you provide by its contents.
Play together
Online, linked, streamed.
Multiplayer is one system in Ultimate Emulator rather than a feature bolted onto each console. Where a system supports it, it works the same way.
-
Online play
AvailableHost or join a session over the internet, drop in mid-game and change games without leaving the session — on NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Genesis and Atari 2600.
Online play connects players directly. There is no relay service yet, so some home networks will need a port opened; the built-in connection check tells you when.
-
Friends, invites and messages
AvailableAn Ultimate Emulator account adds friends, presence, messages, game invites and request-to-join.
-
Link cable over the internet
AvailableConnect two Game Boy or Game Boy Color games as if a link cable ran between them — across the internet.
-
Game Boy Advance link
In developmentLinked play for Game Boy Advance is being built on the same foundation.
-
Remote play
AvailableStream the game you are playing to a friend, who joins in from their own PC.
-
Relay connections
PlannedA relay service so online sessions connect on networks that block direct connections.
Visual enhancements
As you remember it, or better.
-
Authentic to enhanced
AvailableAuthentic, Enhanced and Ultimate presets, higher internal resolution, CRT looks and a before/after comparison.
Start from a preset and make it yours: raise the internal resolution, browse filters, choose a CRT look, and compare the result against the original image side by side. HDR10 output is supported on displays that offer it.
Controllers
Plug in. Play. Make it yours.
-
Controller Mapping Studio
AvailableXbox, SDL-supported and standard HID controllers, hot-plugged. Map, calibrate and save profiles per device, system or game.
Saves
Never lose your place.
-
Save states
AvailableNumbered slots with thumbnails, quick save, Auto Resume where you left off, and Undo Load for the save you did not mean to load.
-
In-game saves
AvailableBattery-backed saves and cartridge clocks are kept for you, per game.
-
Cloud saves
PlannedYour saves and states following your account between PCs.
-
Rewind, frame advance and screenshots
AvailableStep back a few seconds, move one frame at a time, and capture the moment.
Workshop & modding
Modify the games you own.
Ultimate Emulator keeps a hard line between a game and a modification of it. Patches and packs change a game you already have; they never contain one.
-
Game variants from patches
AvailableApply IPS and UPS patches — translations, fixes, hacks — to games you own as separate variants, leaving the original untouched.
-
Workshop
In developmentA home for mod packs, visual packs, controller profiles and community enhancements — modifications, never games.
-
Cheats
PlannedCheat management built into the in-game menu.
Ultimate Emulator does not include commercial games, ROMs, BIOS files or console firmware. You provide your own legally obtained games and, where a system needs it, firmware from hardware you own.
Automatic updates
Install once. Stay current.
-
Install once
Run the signed installer. There is no folder to extract or keep track of.
-
It checks for you
Ultimate Emulator asks Deep Sky Creations for releases that have been signed and approved.
-
You choose
When one is ready: Update & Restart, or Later. Nothing installs behind your back.
-
Your things stay put
Library, settings and saves live outside the application, so an update never touches them.
Updates arrive with the first public release and its Windows installer.
Security & trust
Signed by Deep Sky Creations LLC.
When Windows asks who published Ultimate Emulator, the answer will be the studio that built it — verified by Microsoft, not typed into a text box.
In development- Verified publisher
- The installer and the application are signed with a Windows Authenticode signature naming Deep Sky Creations LLC.
- Microsoft Azure Artifact Signing
- The signing certificate is held by Microsoft's signing service. There is no key file to copy, leak or lose.
- Timestamped
- Every signature records when it was made, so it stays valid long after the certificate that made it has rotated.
- Verified updates
- Each update is checked against the digest Deep Sky Creations publishes before it is applied, and must be signed by the same publisher.
- A private release pipeline
- Builds are published from the studio's own pipeline to private storage, and nothing reaches the public without the owner approving it.

FAQ
Questions.
Does Ultimate Emulator come with games?
Ultimate Emulator does not include commercial games, ROMs, BIOS files or console firmware. You provide your own legally obtained games and, where a system needs it, firmware from hardware you own.
Which systems need BIOS or firmware?
PlayStation and Game Boy Advance need console firmware that you provide. The Firmware & BIOS center tells you what a system needs and recognises the file you add by its contents. Every other included system starts without it.
How do I add my games?
Add the folders where you keep your games under Library Sources. Ultimate Emulator builds your library from them and organises everything by system.
Which systems are supported?
The systems table on this page is the current list, with an honest status for each. Systems marked In development are not in the build yet.
Can I play online?
Yes, on NES, SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Genesis and Atari 2600. Players connect directly — there is no relay service yet — and the built-in connection check tells you if your network needs a port opened. Game Boy and Game Boy Color also support link-cable play over the internet.
How will updates work?
The public build installs once and checks for new releases that Deep Sky Creations has signed and approved. When one is ready you choose Update & Restart or Later. Your library, settings and saves are kept outside the application folder, so an update never touches them.
Where are my saves kept?
In your own user data, separate from the application. Settings → Storage is where you manage them, including a portable mode that keeps everything beside the application.
Is there a portable version?
Portable mode is built in: turn it on in Settings → Storage. The public release is delivered as a signed Windows installer, because that is what makes automatic updates possible.
How do I uninstall it?
The installed version is removed from Windows Settings → Apps, like any other application.
Can I use mods and patches?
You can apply IPS and UPS patches — translations, fixes, hacks — to games you own, and Ultimate Emulator keeps each result as a separate variant beside the untouched original. The Workshop, in development, will share modifications and packs, never game files.
What is the Workshop?
A place for the community to share mod packs, visual packs, controller profiles and enhancements. It is in development. It is built to distribute modifications only — never games, ROMs or firmware.
Does it support cheats?
Not yet. Cheat management is planned.
Does it run on Mac or Linux?
Ultimate Emulator is a Windows application today.
