Ultimate Emulator / Platform support
Systems
What plays today, and how well.
Every system Ultimate Emulator includes, the first-party core that runs it and what that core supports right now. Status describes the core, never every game.
- 19 game systems
- 20 first-party cores
- 4 in development
- Status in words, not only colour
01 / The directory
Every included system.
Grouped by how far each core has been qualified. Open a system for its files, firmware, controls, saves and limits.
Supported
Owner acceptance is recorded for the core or named play mode; compatibility remains title-dependent.

Also included
Bundled with Ultimate Emulator, but not a game system.
- PC / DOS RazorPC A bundled MS-DOS 2.0 historical reference environment. It starts at the DOS prompt, and Ultimate Emulator includes everything it needs. It is not a game platform: there is no game library. No sound, mouse, hard disk or save states.
In development
No first-party core ships in this release. Recognized by the application, but not playable today.
- Sega · 1998 Dreamcast Not included
- Sony · 2000 PlayStation 2 Not included
- Nintendo · 2001 GameCube Not included
- Sony · 2004 PSP Not included
02 / Honest compatibility
What a status promises, and what it does not.
Each status describes the included core. Individual games can still behave differently, so a status is a starting point, not a guarantee.
- Supported
- Owner acceptance is recorded for the core or named play mode; compatibility remains title-dependent.
- Beta
- Included, broader qualification continues.
- Experimental
- Included with limited coverage.
- In development
- No first-party core ships in this release.
03 / Firmware & BIOS
Most systems need nothing extra.
A few consoles relied on built-in startup software their games expect. Systems in the application shows, in words, which need it and whether yours is ready.

- Optional — some games

04 / Gaming History
Behind every platform, a story.
A system page says how a platform works in Ultimate Emulator today. The Gaming History collection says why it mattered.
