Ultimate Emulator / System
Nintendo 64
Four controllers, the analog stick and up to 8x resolution.
RazorN64 plays Nintendo 64 cartridges with four controllers, Controller Pak saves and internal resolution up to 8x. It needs no firmware. The higher resolutions use a Vulkan-capable graphics card; without one, games run in software at native resolution.

01 / Current support
Where N64 stands today.
Status describes the core, not every game. Compatibility is always title-dependent.
- Beta
- Included, broader qualification continues.
- Core
- RazorN64, a first-party core included with Ultimate Emulator. It is chosen automatically for N64 games.
- Unrated
- No comparable per-core performance rating is claimed.
- Release note
- Vulkan for 2x–8x; without it, software rendering at native resolution. ares + paraLLEl-RDP. Named two-player mode owner accepted.
- Cheats
- Free. In the Game Menu's Cheats section, choose + Add Cheat Code and enter a code you have. There is no built-in cheat list, and cheats are switched off in online multiplayer sessions.
02 / Your collection
The files it plays.
These are the N64 game files RazorN64 opens. Ultimate Emulator does not supply games; add them from your own collection.

03 / Firmware & BIOS
No external firmware required.
RazorN64 is complete on its own. Systems shows N64 as Not required: add your games and play.
04 / Input
How it plays in your hands.
Connect a controller and it is mapped automatically. Change the layout for every game, for this system only, or for a single game in Settings → Controllers.
N64 in Ultimate Emulator
- Up to four controllers, each with the analog stick and C-buttons.
- A Controller Pak (32 KiB of save memory) can be inserted for each controller; controller 1 has one by default.
05 / Picture
Sharper than the original, if you want it.
Window mode, Fit and Integer Scale, aspect ratio, pixel filtering and effects come from Settings → Graphics, for every system or for one game.
- Internal Render Resolution
- Native, 2x, 4x, 8x. Higher steps draw the game itself at a higher resolution and ask more of your graphics card.
- Renderer
- Shown for information. The system's built-in engine chooses how it draws, with a safe fallback.
06 / Your progress
In-game saves and save states.
In-game saves
- Cartridge saves of every type (EEPROM, SRAM and FlashRAM) and Controller Pak memory.
Save states
- Available for local play: Quick Save and Quick Load, saved states in the State Manager, Auto-Save and Auto Resume.
- Coordinated multiplayer sessions have their own state policy.
Rewind is not integrated with this core.

07 / Play together
Together on one PC, or across two.
A system profile does not make a single-player game multiplayer. The game decides how many can play.
- On one PC
- Up to 4 players, one controller each, in games made for more than one player. No account needed.
- Across PCs
- Native Multiplayer for two players, with ROM Mode. Each PC runs the game and the players' inputs are shared. Online sessions need Premium for everyone taking part.
08 / Honest compatibility
What to know before you play.
Current limits of the included core, as of this release.
Known limitations
- RazorN64 emulates an NTSC console: PAL cartridges are declined with a message.
- Internal resolutions above Native use a Vulkan-capable graphics card. Without one, games fall back to software rendering at native resolution and may run more slowly.
- Region
- NTSC. PAL cartridges are declined.
